A leading consulting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Consultant. The role involves implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP PM/EAM solutions for effective asset management, including preventive and corrective maintenance processes. Qualified candidates should have 5–8 years of experience within the construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas industries, along with strong analytical skills and a relevant engineering or IT degree. SAP PM Consultants implement and deploy SAP Plant Maintenance solutions.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Consultant to implement, configure, and optimize SAP PM/EAM solutions for asset management, equipment maintenance, and facility operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance, asset lifecycle management, work order processing, and integration with other SAP modules.

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory)

• Hands‑on experience with SAP PM/EAM (Implementation & Configuration)
• Experience in configuration, testing and post‑go live support for SAP PM/EAM aligning with business needs in construction, manufacturing and oil & gas.
• Experience in creating master data for equipment, functional locations, bills of materials (BOM), and maintenance task lists.
• Experience in setting up preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance processes.
• Implement Work Order Management, including notifications, scheduling, and execution tracking.
• Integrate SAP PM/EAM with SAP MM (procurement), FI/CO (costing) and PS (project management).

Roles and responsibilities

Asset & Maintenance Management

• Develop process and design for effective asset lifecycle management, including capital projects and maintenance.
• Identify improvement areas for existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
• Support digital transformation initiatives for predictive maintenance and implement mobile solutions for field maintenance teams using SAP Fiori or other platforms.

System Support & Process Optimization

• Provide functional support to troubleshoot and resolve SAP PM/EAM issues, ensuring system reliability.
• Work closely with maintenance teams, project managers, and business users to improve processes.
• Develop user training programs and best practice documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in SAP PM/EAM within construction, manufacturing or oil and gas.
• Experience in support and project implementation cycles.
• Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, asset management, and reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
