Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is looking for a sales professional to focus on Critical Power products within the Semiconductor and Electronics manufacturing sector. The role involves achieving sales targets and developing new market opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience in technical sales and a degree in Electrical Engineering. A current driver’s license valid in Malaysia is also required, and fluency in English is essential, with local languages being advantageous.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of Critical Power products and solutions across Malaysia with a focus on the Semiconductor & Electronics manufacturing industry, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities and collaborating with both the SEA Critical Power and Malaysian Electrification business to ensure success for ABB.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification, Smart Power, Critical Power Product Group in South East Asia. Main stakeholders are Business Manager, South East Asia, Critical Power.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes along with supporting cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
  • Engaging with customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
Qualifications for the role
  • You are passionate about engaging with customers to understand their needs and challenges, enabling you to bring them value with ABB solutions.
  • You are engaged in working with semiconductor and electronics manufacturing and the Critical Power market
  • You have 3+ years of experience in technical solutions sales
    (OPTIONAL: working as field service engineer with UPS & Critical Power systems)
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing process
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • You are at ease communicating in English with additional relevant local languages an advantage.
  • You hold current drivers license valid in Malaysia
