Overview

A global distributor of chemicals and ingredients with operations in over 35 emerging markets and more than 170 locations worldwide. The organization provides supply chain solutions, value-added logistics, and just-in-time deliveries. In Asia, its presence includes Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and India, serving industries such as Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Personal Care, Home Care, Crop Nutrition, and Coatings.

As part of its strategic expansion in Asia, the organization has recently established operations in Malaysia and is seeking a Sales Manager – Human Nutrition Ingredients to lead and develop the Human Nutrition segment locally.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic market development plan for Malaysia, aligned with regional and global business objectives.
  • Build and manage a strong customer portfolio, maintaining regular engagement to strengthen market presence.
  • Collect and report market intelligence in a structured and timely manner to country and regional management.
  • Design a balanced product portfolio leveraging global sourcing capabilities and local logistics strengths.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely issue resolution and delivery of exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or International Trade.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Human Nutrition Ingredients industry, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Established network within the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry in Malaysia.
  • Experience working in an international environment; exposure to international trade and supply chain operations is an advantage.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow professionally, with long-term career aspirations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
  • Prior experience in a trading/distribution company or food production company is essential.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
