A leading FMCG distribution group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead regional teams in Kuantan and Penang. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of FMCG sales experience and strong leadership skills. As part of business strengthening and succession planning, the company is looking to hire experienced Sales Managers to lead regional teams and drive sustainable growth.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for FMCG professionals who understand distributor‑led environments and thrive in managing people, execution, and performance on the ground.
Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans to achieve regional targets
Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts
Lead, coach, and motivate sales reps and merchandisers to ensure strong market execution
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour, translating insights into actionable strategies
Ensure proper execution of pricing, promotions, and channel policies to maintain market discipline
Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure product availability, promotion rollout, and timely collections
Track sales performance, analyse gaps, and implement corrective actions
Manage sales budgets and expenses to maximise ROI
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Strong understanding of FMCG channels (GT, MT, KA) and distributor operations
Proven experience managing sales teams and merchandisers
Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
High data sensitivity with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Results‑driven, resilient, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
Willingness to travel as required
