Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Target Achievement
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs set by the Sales Manager and management team.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline with consistent lead generation and follow‑up.
- Track performance metrics and submit weekly sales updates, forecasts, and reports.
2. Booth Sales for KL International Beauty Week Events
- Conduct outreach to beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and retail brands to promote booth packages.
- Present event details clearly, including audience demographics, traffic expectations, and exhibitor benefits.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring all clients receive accurate booth information and timely responses.
- Work with the event operations team to confirm booth layouts, allocations, and exhibitor requirements.
3. Sponsorship Sales
- Support the creation and pitching of sponsorship packages for KLIBW events and special initiatives.
- Engage potential sponsors through presentations, meetings, calls, and email proposals.
- Negotiate sponsorship deliverables, brand activations, and package entitlements under the guidance of the Sales Manager.
- Ensure seamless handover to internal teams to fulfil all sponsorship commitments.
4. Commercial Sales for The Highlighter Magazine
- Sell advertorials, branded content, print advertisements, digital features, and media packages.
- Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to develop content ideas aligned with client goals.
- Present updated rate cards, media kits, distribution insights, and performance metrics to potential advertisers.
- Build long‑term relationships with beauty, lifestyle, wellness, and FMCG brands to secure recurring bookings.
5. Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, partners, exhibitors, and agencies.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout pre‑sales, onboarding, and post‑sales cycles.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare quotations, and manage documentation needed for contracts.
- Represent KLIBW and The Highlighter at industry events, meetings, and networking sessions.
6. Market Research & Industry Awareness
- Monitor trends in beauty, wellness, consumer retail, and events to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Gather competitor insights and client feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Stay updated on digital advertising trends, content marketing formats, and consumer preferences relevant to the magazine.
7. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to align sales tactics with company goals.
- Coordinate with event, editorial, design, and finance teams to ensure smooth sales execution.
- Provide insights on client needs to improve packages, marketing materials, and event offerings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in sales, business development, or client servicing (experience in beauty, lifestyle, events, or media is an advantage).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident, articulate, and comfortable presenting to clients.
- Highly organised with strong follow‑up discipline.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple leads at once.
