The Sales Executive is responsible for driving business growth through the sale and rental of machinery and equipment. This role involves developing strategic plans to expand the company’s customer base, increase revenue and profitability, and strengthen relationships with clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate should be results-oriented, customer-focused, and possess a strong understanding of the machinery and equipment rental industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and emerging trends within the machinery supply and rental market.
- Report to the Managing Director/ General Manager on sales performance, market trends, and business development progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and quantity surveyors (QS) within the construction industry.
- Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and product offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to secure profitable deals and long-term partnerships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the construction machinery, heavy equipment, or rental industry.
- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Good understanding of the construction and equipment rental market dynamics will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong teamwork abilities with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel for business purposes.
