Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for a dynamic sales professional in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on acquiring new customers through various methods, pitching a range of financial products including personal loans and credit cards, and maintaining relationships with current clients. Candidates should ideally hold a degree in relevant fields or have sales experience with a minimum of SPM qualifications. Strong communication skills are critical for success in this position.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred, strong communication skills required.
  • Candidates without a degree can apply with an SPM or Diploma if they have sales experience.
  • 1–2 years of sales experience is necessary for non-degree holders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Customer Acquisition: Actively seek out new-to-bank customers through cold calling, roadshows, networking, and referrals.
  • Product Promotion: Pitch and sell a variety of products, including Personal Loans, Mortgages, Credit Cards, SME Financing, and Bancassurance.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing customers to encourage loyalty and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Financial Advisory: Conduct basic financial needs analysis for customers to recommend the most suitable banking solutions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Collect and verify customer documents for loan applications and ensure all activities adhere to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations and internal AML (Anti‑Money Laundering) policies.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on competitor products, interest rates, and market trends to provide feedback to the management team.
Requirements
  • Fresh Graduates: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Marketing is preferred. However, many banks (like Maybank or CIMB) accept degrees from any discipline if you demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Non-Degree Holders: You can apply with an SPM (minimum 5 passes including BM) or a Diploma, provided you have at least 1–2 years of sales experience.
