Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer with experience in ensuring workplace safety, compliance, and risk management, particularly in construction and roadside projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures, and safety training, and ensure adherence to regulatory and company safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain and review Project Safety Plan (PSP)
  • Promote, enhance and ensure Project Safety Plan and owner’s HSE requirements and its procedures are enforced and implemented at the project site.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental matters are in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Site Committee Meetings.
  • Prepare Health and Safety Reports.
  • Conduct regular Health and Safety training and increase health and safety awareness at all levels.
  • Conduct routine Health and Safety audits and prepare reports.
  • Participate in all meetings in relation to Health and Safety matters.
  • Liaise and coordinate with owner’s representatives and authorities in all Health and Safety aspects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Oil & Gas, or equivalent field from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with DOSH (with valid green book).
  • Cordial relationship with DOSH, local authorities, consultants, contractors, vendors, public, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in health and safety with contractors and minimum 2 years in a similar position.
  • Familiarity with road and bridge projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of local SHE legislation requirements, SHE Management System and SHE technical knowledge.
  • Computer literate with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, good leadership and results orientation.
  • Possess valid class D local driving license.
