We are currently seeking a diligent and certified Safety Officer to join our dynamic team in Kulai, Johor.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Officer at Golden Valley Capital Sdn Bhd located in Kulai. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety programs across all project sites and office facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and enforce preventative measures.
• Develop and deliver safety training, seminars, and awareness campaigns for all staff.
• Perform regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to local and national occupational safety and health laws and DOSH regulations.
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to management.
• Oversee daily work tasks to ensure safety adherence.
• Advise on safety-related topics including machinery, chemicals, and noise levels.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Possess a valid Green Book certificate registered with DOSH.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and standards (DOSH, OSHA).
• Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills.
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• This position requires daily travel to project sites and is based in Kulai, Johor.
