Job description

Seeking a dedicated Safety Health Officer to join our team in Meru, Selangor. This full‑time position is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and upholding the highest standards in our construction projects. As the Safety Health Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring our safety protocols to create a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities

Plan, propose, produce, implement, enforce and review the EHS system to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Investigate and review any accidents, near miss, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease and report to DOSH in accordance to OSH Regulation 2004.

Collect, analyses and maintain records of any amendments or new laws/regulations in relation to EHS and advise management of any action or measure to be taken as well as communicating this information to all employees.

Be the point of contact with regulating bodies such as DOSH, DOE and BOMBA.

To participate in safety and health committee activities.

Attend to safety meetings, briefings and audits at workplace.

Prepare report to be submitted to management, client or authorities.

To promote safety awareness to all employees, and the responsibilities of all employees towards safety.

Planning for Emergency Response Program.

Conduct accident/incident investigation and work with management to prepare comprehensive recommendation active to eliminate or minimize future recurrences.

Handle all matters that related to safety and health.

Job Requirements

Masters / Degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or equivalent / relevant disciplines.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety supervision and implementation in building construction industry and proven track record of completing project with quality achievement in safety.

Registered competent Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH) – must have a valid GREEN BOOK.

Knowledge in property and construction terminology, high‑rise construction, security and environment management.

Able to communicate well in English & Bahasa Malaysia – both verbal and written.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
