Rubber Compounding / Formulation Engineer

New Vision Rubber & Plastic Technology Sdn Bhd – Pasir Gudang, Johor

We are looking for an experienced Rubber Compounding / Formulation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting rubber compound formulations, particularly in internal mixing and rubber compounding processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, formulate, and optimize rubber compounds for various applications
• Handle rubber compounding and mixing processes, including internal mixer and open mill operations
• Work with elastomers such as EPDM, CR, AEM, ACM, and Halogenated Butyl Rubber
• Conduct formulation trials, testing, and analysis to meet product specifications and performance requirements
• Troubleshoot compounding and processing issues during production
• Support production teams in scaling up new formulations from laboratory to mass production
• Evaluate raw materials, additives, fillers, and curing systems to improve performance and cost efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of formulations, test results, and process parameters
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
• Experience in rubber compounding or formulation is preferred
• Hands‑on experience with EPDM, CR, AEM, ACM, and Halogenated Butyl Rubber will be a strong advantage
• Good understanding of rubber processing, curing systems, and compound performance
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
