Our client of the global prime producers of machines and systems for creating and processing rubber and plastics. The company delivers injection molding machinery, reaction process machinery and additive manufacturing to the automotive, consumer goods, electronics, and medical devices manufacturers.
Reporting to SEA Service Manager and RPM KMCN, the RPM Service Engineer Malaysia/SEA will coordinate and participate in the Reaction Process Machinery (RPM) equipment’s installation and commissioning on site, daily maintenance and repair of equipment during the warranty period and solve the equipment’s problems on-site, to achieve customer’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of equipment on-site.
- Responsible for the equipment operation and daily maintenance training to customers.
- Provide technical support to sales team.
- Report equipment operation issues and work on solutions.
- Promote service offerings and spare parts need to on-site customers.
- Complete regular reports on the operating status of on-site customer.
- Support customer on managing the inventory of equipment-related spare parts.
- Maintain communication and relationships with factory customer, improving service capabilities based on customers’ needs.
- Daily maintenance and repairs of equipment during the warranty period, as well as monitoring of equipment operating status.
The Ideal Candidate
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, Electrical Automation, or Polymer Science.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in new machine sales or after-sales service.
- Experience with automation systems or industrial machinery.
- Experience or knowledge in operating Reaction Process Machines (RPM) or PU foam machines is required.
- Experience in machine repair and maintenance is required.
- Experience in project management or installation work is required.
- Familiar with Electrical Control and PLC Programming.
- Understanding of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing.
- Understanding of Hydraulic Principles and Hydraulic Components.
- Strong customer service and technical support skills.
- Ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders on technical matters.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good report-writing skills in English.
- Requires up to 40% travel across other SEA countries as needed
