Job summary

A leading technology manufacturing company in Ipoh is seeking a Lead, Talent Acquisition | Assistant Manager to handle the overall assembly process. The ideal candidate will have a background in Science/Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in electronic manufacturing. Key responsibilities include process monitoring, quality improvement, and providing engineering support. This role requires adaptability and a hands-on approach, with a commitment to the company's core values. It is a full-time position with mandatory onsite work.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall assembly process at Roadm product lines (ACD and NSD), as well as the new product and process transfer from Fuzhou.
  • Assist engineers to maintain process and quality standards, procedures and control plan.
  • Assist engineers in engineering builds, activities and data collection.
  • Monitor line processes, improve quality and update process instructions and documentation.
  • Support in assembly manufacturing documentation such as Process specifications, visual aids, manufacturing routes and work instructions.
  • Provide the necessary engineering support and coordinate pilot build to ensure new assemblies are completed on time and with minimal resources.
  • Identify and quantify quality problems with materials and/or processes and provide solutions.
  • Responsible for process and product yields of the mechanical assembly and test process.
  • Ensure the process implemented delivers the right quality services/products to the customers.
  • Drive technical project tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
Education & Experience
  • A Bachelor or Diploma in Science/Engineering, preferably majoring in Mechatronics or Mechanical, or its equivalents, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the electronic manufacturing sector.
Skills
  • Good computer literacy and basic SPC knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills with a hands‑on working attitude.
  • Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company.
  • Experience working in a high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environment, and/or assembly, SMT, PCBA manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis and poka‑yoke principles is an added advantage.
  • Willing to work shift.
