A premier shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Marketing Manager to enhance footfall and sales through strategic advertising and promotion initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in retail marketing, strong A&P planning and execution skills, and the ability to work well with tenants. Job description

This role is responsible for driving mall performance through strategic marketing, advertising & promotion (A&P) initiatives, tenant engagement and leasing support to enhance footfall, occupancy and tenant sales performance.

Responsibilities

Marketing, Advertising & Promotions

  • Plan and execute mall-wide A&P campaigns to drive footfall and sales
  • Develop annual marketing calendar and campaign budgets
  • Manage digital, social, PR, events and on-ground activations
  • Track campaign performance, footfall and ROI

Tenant Engagement & Performance

  • Work closely with tenants to drive joint promotions and sales uplift
  • Analyse tenant sales performance and recommend improvement strategies
  • Increase tenant participation in mall-wide campaigns

Leasing Strategy & Support

  • Support leasing team on tenant mix planning and positioning
  • Assist in lease renewals, negotiations and onboarding (where required)
  • Provide market insights to support occupancy and rental optimisation

Asset Enhancement & Mall Positioning

  • Support asset enhancement and repositioning initiatives
  • Improve mall branding, customer experience and trade mix
  • Work with consultants and agencies on improvement projects
  • Liaise with tenants, agencies, suppliers and relevant authorities
  • Manage marketing agencies and external vendors
  • Prepare management reports and proposals
Requirements

✅Must-Have

  • 5–8 years experience in mall, retail or property marketing
  • Strong A&P planning and campaign execution experience
  • Experience working with tenants and external agencies
  • Leasing or tenant mix exposure
  • Experience in asset enhancement or mall repositioning
  • Digital marketing, CRM or data analytics exposure
  • Mandarin-speaking ability is an added advantage
