Job summary

A well-known bakery chain in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated individual to oversee daily operations, enhance sales performance, and ensure top-notch customer service in their outlets. The role involves assisting in managing retail operations, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Candidates should possess strong operational skills and be able to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This position offers a dynamic environment with various responsibilities spanning across sales, administration, and talent management.

  • Lead and assist management in retail operation functions and performance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth execution of operations.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To carry out day to day operations and improve outlet’s performance in term of sales revenue, cost control, customer’s awareness and staff development
  • To lead & assist SM/SIC in manage and prevail retail operation functions and performances; involving duties in supervisory, opening and closing of store, cash handling of daily sales, merchandising restocking, administration, and stock receipt reports as well in sales reports
  • Assist in controlling outlet’s operating expenses and billings
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and PICs in ensuring the smooth execution and high level of quality for all operation activities of outlet
  • Assisting SM/SIC on overall retail operation
  • Maintain all necessary documentation
  • Identifies, recommend, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets and reports to relevant person in charge
  • Ensure & maintain low shrinkage as per KPI
Sales and Marketing
  • Assist in monitoring outlet’s sales performance and drive the team to achieve the sales target
  • Ensure pricing and display of merchandise items are correctly label and up to Company’s standard practice
  • Able to understand the process of disposal and return of damaged stocks
  • Monitor and handling of housekeeping and the ordering process of outlets’s stocks
  • Planning, coordination, recording and process control of incoming & outgoing stock; including preparation of stock report, stock conditions and expiry details
Talent Acquisition & Management
  • Ensure sufficient manpower for outlet by working actively alongside with HR on recruitment
  • Scheduling and planning for sufficient manpower for daily operation
  • Oversee the staff’s activities and work performance within their assigned area
  • Assist in providing on-the job training for new and existing staff as required
Administration & Ad-hoc
  • Ensure compliance with Company’s policies and operational guidelines
  • Report to SM/SIC on progress and issues
  • To ensure good housekeeping, cleanliness, tidiness and effective display of merchandise and outlet as a whole
Customer Service
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent services; mastering product knowledge; actively involved in handling customer’s enquiries, complaints and issues
  • Provide solution to customers
Ad-Hoc Task
  • Participate in any ad-hoc projects/tasks as assigned by the management
