Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Chinese restaurant. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while maximizing profitability and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, and quality control
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
  • Manage and train staff to maintain high standards of service and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Create and manage budgets, control costs, and optimize restaurant performance
  • Collaborate with the head chef to plan and update menus, considering food costs and market trends
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficientlyManage inventory, place orders with suppliers, and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Implement and monitor marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers
  • Analyze sales data and prepare reports for upper management
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Chinese cuisine establishments
  • Proven track record of successful restaurant operations and team leadership
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
  • Knowledge of Chinese cuisine, culinary trends, and Malaysian food service regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
