Job description
Resident Medical Officer (ICU & General Wards)
  • 1. Prepare patients in capacity of RMO in critical care area, close observation units and in patient wards.
  • 2. Provide urgent medical attention to in patients in Critical care area, close observation unit and other areas where the need arises.
  • 4. Carry out rounds of the floors and to attend to any patient at the request of the Nursing staff or the consultant.
  • 5. Follow at all times the Medical instructions of the Consultant in-charge of the patient and carry out medical procedures as requested by patient doctors which may include I.V Drips, emergency ECG etc.
  • 6. Attend to code blue and life threatening conditions.
  • 7. Mobilizing patient-i.e transportation of critically ill patient for radiological examination for procedures to Cath lab, operating theatres.
  • 8. Assist in confirming death and to issue death certificate for ill patients that pass on in the absence of consultants in critical care unit and closed observation units by working closely with Nursing Administration.
  • 9. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the ICU and close observation units.
  • 10. Records in a comprehensive way, all patient treatments in the patient notes and to maintain contact with the Consultants and the Nursing staff over the treatment given to the patient.
Job Requirements
  • 1. MBBS from recognized institutions approved by Ministry of Health.
  • 2. Substantial hands-on experience (minimum 3 years) in ICU unit in established private Medical Centres or major public hospitals.
