Job summary

A civil engineering consultancy in Selangor is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to supervise and coordinate construction projects. The ideal candidate must possess a recognized degree in Civil Engineering, be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and have at least 5 years of experience in main infrastructure, particularly earthworks. Strong communication, supervision, and leadership skills are essential for ensuring compliance with contract documents and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently with tight deadlines.
• Broad design knowledge of main infrastructure (earthworks).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, construction schedules, contracts.
• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor construction projects.
• Lead site team in supervising overall earthworks.
• Ensure implementation of PQP, SHMP, EMP, and HSSE procedures.
• Maintain project scope and schedule for construction phase delivery.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, A registered Professional Engineer is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Main Infrastructure (earthworks).
• Possess good communications skills, both written, spoken and have good computer literacy

• Broad Design knowledge of Main infrastructure (earthworks).

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, construction schedules, contracts and other construction documents
• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the construction of projects and programs to ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, the client objectives are met, and that project documents are in accordance with approved standards
• Leading site team in supervising the overall earthworks which includes quality control, planning, time control and adhere to project specification
• To ensure the implementation of PQP, SHMP, EMP and HSSE procedure.
• To ensure proper documentation and filing management, i.e drawings, checklists, approval form and etc.
• To ensure work program activities are tracked, verified and highlighted any delays to Project Managers.
• To conduct pre CPC inspection, issuance of defects list and ensure closure of defect list within stipulated time.
• To ensure zero functional defects upon hand over.
• Develop and maintain project scope and schedule for construction phase delivery.
• Work proactively with project managers and project engineers to monitor status if scope, schedule during construction.
• Provide senior oversight/constructability reviews.
