Job summary

A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Site Supervisor with a degree in Civil Engineering and 8–10 years of experience in high-rise projects. The successful candidate will supervise site activities across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and M&E trades, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills are essential for liaising with stakeholders and ensuring project milestones are met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience in high-rise building projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Civil & Structural construction works.
  • Experience in Geotechnical Engineering and QLASSIC assessment is an added advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate site works for Civil & Structural (C&S), Architectural and M&E trades to ensure compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, local authority regulations and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and relevant authorities across disciplines to resolve technical, design and site‑related issues promptly.
  • Review, verify and comment on technical submissions, including shop drawings, RFIs, method statements and construction proposals.
  • Conduct regular joint site inspections with contractors to monitor work progress, workmanship quality and compliance with site health and safety requirements.
  • Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities related to construction works, where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including inspection records, site diaries and correspondence.
  • Prepare and issue Site Memos, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions as required.
  • Attend and participate in site meetings, technical meetings and ad‑hoc meetings with HQ teams, consultants and authorities.
  • Manage and supervise Inspectors of Works (IOWs) to ensure effective and smooth site operations.
  • Prepare and submit regular site progress reports to Senior Management, highlighting progress, risks and potential delays.
  • Ensure timely delivery and completion of project milestones, proactively reporting any potential issues affecting schedule, quality or cost.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in high‑rise building projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Civil & Structural construction works.
  • Experience or strong technical knowledge in Geotechnical engineering is an added advantage.
  • Experience in QLASSIC assessment and quality compliance is an added advantage.
  • Good leadership, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with consultants, contractors and authorities.
