Cancer Research Malaysia is seeking a well‑organised and research‑savvy Research Management Officer to strengthen internal scientific operations. This role supports the Chief Scientific Officer in coordinating research activities, tracking scientific outputs, and ensuring robust governance across the organisation’s research portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with meticulous documentation, enabling CRMY’s scientists to deliver high-impact research efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal research activities and ensure alignment with the strategic scientific priorities.
  • Maintain tracking systems for grants, publications, ethics approvals, awards, and key performance indices.
  • Prepare concise research briefs, progress summaries, and internal scientific reports.
  • Oversee research documentation, agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, and follow‑up actions.
  • Identify grant and award opportunities relevant to CRMY scientists and coordinate timelines.
  • Work closely with the Science Liaison Officer to support the smooth functioning of the CSO’s office.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, public health, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in research management, project coordination, or research administration.
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and scientific documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to synthesise scientific information.
  • High proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Teams, Excel, project tracking systems).
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across diverse scientific teams.
