Job summary

Job description

NCCIM is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Research and Administrative Executive to support its policy, advocacy, and administrative functions. This position is ideal for candidates interested in business policy, economics, trade, and industry affairs.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Policy Support
  • Conduct research on national and international economic trends, trade issues, regulatory policies, and industry developments.
  • Assist in preparing policy briefs, discussion papers, presentations, and position statements for internal use and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor government announcements, policy updates, and business-related news relevant to NCCIM’s advocacy agenda.
Administrative & Executive Support
  • Assist in meeting arrangements, and logistics for high-level engagements and committee meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation for internal and external briefings.
  • Maintain databases, records, and contact lists of key stakeholders, including government ministries, business councils, and chambers.
Event & Communication Coordination
  • Support the planning and coordination of official forums, roundtables, trade missions, and public-private dialogues.
  • Assist in drafting communication materials such as email correspondences, newsletters, or social media content (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with member chambers and strategic partners for updates and collaborative activities.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor degree in Economics, International Relations, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret policy documents and economic data.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge in Mandarin would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Preferred Attributes
  • Interest in government affairs, business advocacy, and trade policy.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian economic and political landscape.
  • Experience with report writing, stakeholder communication, or event coordination.
