Job summary

A prominent financial institution in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Sales Relationship Manager. The role involves achieving KPIs, managing client relationships, acquiring new customers, and cross-selling various banking solutions. Candidates must have a Diploma/Degree and over 2 years of relevant experience. An outgoing personality and the ability to converse in multiple languages are preferred. Job Purpose

Achieve assigned KPIs and wealth targets through proactive sales activities such as acquiring new customers, deepening existing relationships, and cross‑selling wealth solutions like Bancassurance/Takaful and cash management. It involves growing deposits and fee‑based income, enhancing customer stickiness, and consistently analyzing portfolios to identify upselling opportunities. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and a positive experience is key.

Job Responsibilities
Sales Management
  • Responsible for the overall sales activities of acquiring new customers and retaining existing assigned high‑value non‑borrowing & borrowing business customers by:
  • Achieving the assigned deposit growth and fee‑based income target
  • Aggressively cross‑selling Enterprise Banking wealth solution, cash management solutions and other banking solutions
  • Reaching out to potential business sectors and generating sustainable and quality inflow of potential leads
  • Work closely with the team leads to engage relevant stakeholders in all marketing, business and promotional activities ensuring effective and quality sales and service standards
  • Manage sales processes to ensure compliance to Bank prescribed level of service standards
  • Provide support and assistance to other Departments/Divisions within the Bank with matters relating to the assigned segment
  • Ensure timely submission of sales performance related report
  • Maintain high compliance and sales discipline benchmark in accordance to Bank’s and regulatory guidelines
Client Relationship Management
  • Conduct regular visits and meetings with top customers of the assigned customer base to enhance banker‑customer relationship ultimately to ensure better service quality
  • Contribute suggestions on customer retention strategies and programs
  • Participate in all product development and customer engagement activities for cash management and business wealth for the targeted segment
  • Attend to all customer‑related feedback in ensuring prompt service recovery if any
  • Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by immediate superior when required
Job Requirements
  • Education qualification: Diploma/ Degree holder
  • More than 2 years’ experience as relationship manager. Proven good performance track records
  • Outgoing personality who won’t be shy to meet new clients and existing bank clients
  • Aggressive and performance driven personality
  • Able to work independently and travel domestically
  • Preferably able to converse in multiple languages/dialects
  • Possess following mandated insurance license by the division:
  • PCEIA Life & General
  • Family & General Takaful
  • CEILI
  • IPPC & FIMM (as and when required by the Division)
