A leading retail company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Local Authority Liaison & Approvals expert to manage submissions for business licenses and permits. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Business Administration or Public Relations and 2-4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, along with a good understanding of Malaysian local authority procedures. Regular local travel for meetings with authorities is also required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in retail, F&B, or construction/property.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian local authority procedures and licensing processes.
• Willingness to travel locally for site visits or meetings with authorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit applications to local councils for business licenses and required approvals.
• Maintain a centralized filing system for all documentation submitted to and received from authorities.
• Support the Store Opening or Operations team in organizing necessary documentation.
• Stay updated on local regulations and compliance policies affecting business operations.
