Job summary

Job description
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with national and international food laws (e.g., FDA, USDA, EFSA, FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, Codex, etc.).
  • Monitor changes in legislation and update company policies and processes accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory authorities.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee implementation of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Investigate food safety incidents and coordinate corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct Supplier Audit to verify adherence to regulatory.
Product Labelling & Claims
  • Review product labels to ensure compliance with local and export market requirements (e.g., ingredient listings, allergen declarations, nutritional facts, and health claims).
  • Liaise with R&D and marketing teams to verify the legality of product claims.
Training & Awareness
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a compliance-focused culture across departments.
Regulatory Liaison
  • Act as the company’s point of contact for regulatory bodies, inspectors, and certification agencies.
  • Manage inspections and audits from authorities or third parties.

Responsible for any other assignments which will be delegated to him/her from the superior(s) from time to time.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 22000, PCQI, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or other food safety regulations will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of food regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong risk assessment and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective team player with a proactive and responsible work attitude.
