A leading chemical company in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Author to prepare and oversee daily SDS activities for the Asia Pacific region. Responsibilities include managing SDS-related processes within SAP systems, handling inquiries, and performing product classification. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, 1-2 years in Regulatory Affairs, and strong communication skills, including proficiency in Mandarin. The role involves collaboration with global teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Prepare Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for Asia Pacific regions and oversee daily SDS authoring activities in line with team priorities.
Take ownership of SDS-related processes and activities within SAP systems.
Handle hazard communication inquiries from internal teams and customers promptly.
Perform product classification in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and advise the business on classification matters.
Contribute to internal projects and participate in business meetings.
Design and implement process improvements, tools, and procedures to enhance SDS authoring efficiency.
Work closely with stakeholders to address business requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Lead small to medium-sized regulatory projects.
Assist leadership with special initiatives and people management support.
Liaise and coordinate with Global Team of Asia Pacific (including, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science or relevant field.
1 to 2 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs.
Experience in authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Experience in using SAP, Excel, and/or Regulatory Databases.
Strong data management skills with attention to detail, and effective problem-solving.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
Will liaise with teams in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.; proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin preferred.
