Job Description
Our client is a manufacturing multinational and they are looking for a Regional Sales Engineer for South East Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- To establish the organisation as a major solution supplier for the markets in Malaysia and Indonesia.
- To expand and maintain a broad network to systems integrators and end-users with focus on Ministry of Transportation and Toll Road Operators and build relationships with all key decision makers within the end‑user organization.
- To support and manage their distributors in Malaysia and the Philippines R&D sectors, as well as in Vietnam Industrial sectors.
- This will be achieved by close partnership with existing and new distributors to develop, secure and maintain targeted end‑users and focus applications in respective countries.
- In addition, this position will be responsible to attend to sales inquiries from other non‑focus applications in the region.
Main Tasks
- Implementation of the strategy and goals through active customer and end‑user care and market development (e.g. pilot project, specification of the organisation's technology in projects, participation in conferences and exhibitions, organization of customer events, etc.).
- Supporting end‑user in setting up budgets and writing focused specifications based on the solution.
- Ensuring a continuous and reliable sales pipeline.
- Participate in project management to maintain continuity with key account clients.
- Expansion of their footprint through acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing customers’ applications.
- Technical customer support and application consulting. Development of technical solutions and creation of offers to the customer.
- Developing, planning and ensuring a sales strategy for their partners. Implementing measures and activities to sustainably strengthen customer relationships to partners.
- Creating reports on important customer meetings and other events.
- Ongoing monitoring of competition and market trends.
- Maintaining customer data, project list and documentation in C4C.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of three years sales‑related experience will have advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge in one or more areas relating to force, pressure, torque and vibration sensors, preferably with field application background.
- Familiar in markets related to traffic enforcement, production automation, government research and/or automotive manufacturing industries will be of great advantage.
- Able to learn and assimilate new technology quickly.
- Strong and dynamic and able to adapt to multi‑tasking environment.
- Self‑motivated and driven team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and mature.
- Work independently with good learning attitude.
