Our client is a MNC manufacturing (specialised in high‑precision sensors and measurement systems) looking for a Regional Head, SEA to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Purpose of the Position
- Manages the operations of Southeast Asia, comprising Sales, Marketing and Service to deal with customers in any aspect.
- Operational responsibility and local strategy implementation for Southeast Asia countries with current Sales Entities in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, and Representative Offices in Vietnam and Indonesia.
- Responsibility for top line and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure above‑average and profitable growth in Southeast Asia.
- Local implementation of the Business Platform strategies, incl. Sales and Service; formulate and execute short‑term and long‑term sales strategies in accordance with the Group growth plans & priorities.
- Business development; keep up to date with market requirements and identify opportunities.
- Together with Sales and Service, and in close connection with customers, identify new applications and articulate the need for new products, systems and solutions.
- Lead the Southeast Asia Operations together with the Country Managers in the above mentioned Countries, including Sales and Service; direct management of Malaysia Sales Office.
- Break down and communicate targets and KPI’s according to the local organisation structure and ensure the performance of Southeast Asia Operation achieves target levels.
- Manage sales by implementation and execution of the sales strategies, guidelines and targets; develop customer relationships, channel partners.
- Ensure thorough information flow and understanding about Southeast Asia markets from / to Head of Region & Regional Headquarters, peers of R-East, PF’s and BU’s to facilitate regional and global strategy development.
- Manage Southeast Asia in line with top line goals, cost frames and KPI’s derived from the MTP / SAP (Sales Activity Plan) and agreed with the Head of R-East.
- Deliver monthly updates to Head of R-East about the status and performance of operations and pro‑actively inform about risks and deviations from targets and KPI’s.
- Lead, inspire and develop the managers and staff towards proactive attitude and working style, to capture any growth opportunities in Southeast Asia.
- Align country teams towards the common strategy and targets.
- Ensure smooth communication and execution of tasks among all teams within the Southeast Asia.
