About the job Regional Finance Controller

Job Responsibilities

1. Daily Financial Operations
  • Review original financial documents, prepare journal vouchers, and maintain ledgers to ensure accurate and complete accounting records.
  • Regularly reconcile accounts with banks, suppliers, and customers; resolve outstanding balances and discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in a timely manner.
  • Assist in generating financial analysis reports to support strategic decision-making by management.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget; monitor execution, analyze variances, and provide actionable improvement suggestions.
  • Review expense reimbursement documents to ensure compliance and effective cost control.
4. Cash and Fund Management
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to optimize fund utilization.
  • Manage bank accounts and internal fund transfers to ensure liquidity and the security of company funds.
5. Compliance and Audit Support
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable accounting standards, legal regulations, and internal company policies.
6. Tax Management
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, including timely submission of tax filings (e.g., corporate income tax, GST/SST, withholding tax).
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants as needed to resolve tax-related matters.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Regional or multi-site financial management experience is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Advanced Excel skills: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
