Job summary

A global construction solutions provider in Malaysia is looking for an experienced Accounting Leader to manage regional financial accounting and reporting. The role involves driving compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs while leading a team across multiple countries. Ideal candidates will have extensive accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in ERP systems. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial practices, supporting business growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs across EAP countries.
• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including regional or multi-country exposure.
• Proven track record in managing annual audits, tax compliance, and process standardization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations across EAP entities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
• Lead preparation and review of annual financial statements and coordinate the audit process.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and internal reporting accuracy.
