Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking a prototyping specialist to assist in all creation phases from sample construction to product assembly. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Product Design or a related field and hands-on experience with CNC machining and various rapid prototyping processes. Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in Product Design or a related field.
• Experience in generating both 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC Machining and Urethane Vacuum Casting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all creation phases from sample construction to product assembly.
• Create prototypes using various rapid prototyping techniques.
• Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist Prototyping Lab in all creation phases, from sample construction, and assembly to product.
• Creation of physical prototypes through Urethane Vacuum Casting, CNC Machining, Model Making & etc.
• Hands‑on CNC machining from 3D CAD, CAM programming, CNC machine setup until the finished product.
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot errors with mechanical equipment.
• Continuously increase knowledge of the latest technological trends in rapid prototyping and post‑processing of parts.

Requirements

• Advanced in Product Design/Bachelor’s degree, CNC CAD/CAM, Mechanical Engineering, Model Making or related field
• Experience in generating 3D CAD and 2D drawing (PTC Creo Parametric experience will be added advantage)
• Experience with various rapid prototyping processes such as CNC Machining, and Silicon Rubber Molding (SRM) /Urethane Vacuum Casting process preferred.
• Experience working in a Prototyping Lab environment using a variety of tools and machinery.
