Qualifications
- Diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging or Radiotherapy recognised by the Government, from any local institution of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge and experience in Cardiac Imaging would be an added advantage.
- Applicants with experience in a hospital setting are highly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
Language Qualifications
All candidates must have obtained:
- Credit (at least C) for Bahasa Melayu and English (including oral examination) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the government, OR
- IELTS Band 6 / Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Candidates without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
- Ability to communicate in different languages would be an advantage.

Note: Shortlisted applicants who are currently employees of the Malaysian Government or statutory bodies in Malaysia will be required to submit a hard copy of applications through the respective Heads of Department together with the confidential report and up‑to‑date service record.
Clinical Services
- To perform general X‑ray examinations and portable X‑rays including elective and emergency cases.
- Handling C‑arm machine in operation theatre.
- To perform special examinations such as computed tomography (CT scan), fluoroscopy and angiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography examination (applicable to female radiographers only), and bone densitometry.
- To apply radiation protection principles to the patient, worker and public.
- To perform divided and shift duties based on a rotational basis.
- To perform tasks on a regular basis with other health professionals for building a professional relationship.
- Examine and analyse images based on the image’s production standards.
- Analyse images by identifying abnormalities and recommend modified techniques.
Training
- Attend radiation protection course annually (to adhere to Act 304 Atomic Licensing).
- Attend the training/seminar/workshop related to the job scope (e.g. abdominal oncologic imaging, angiography training).
Teaching / Research
- Assist in conducting research‑related workshops for Master of Medicine in Radiology students/staff.
- Conduct teaching for radiography and medical students during their attachment.
Minimum Competencies
- Have a high level of motivation, discipline and pleasant personality.
- Possess a high degree of integrity.
- Able to converse and write in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Able to work in a team, keen to learn new things, committed and dedicated to work.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
