Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing daily statistics and managing appointments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of CT and PET/CT rooms.

Radiographer (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)

Island Hospital Sdn Bhd – George Town, Penang

To perform diagnostic scanning of PETCT.

To prepare diagnostic report of the PETCT scan and ensure timely dispatch to the referring doctor.

To assist in preparing daily statistics of PETCT scans to Head of Cancer Centre.

To perform routine quality assurance (QA) tests in timely manneraccording to departmental QA Programme.

To submit records of all QA performed to the Medical Physicist.

To maintain filing of patient documents and forms, delivery orders (DO) and other documents deemed crucial to Cancer Centre.

To maintain adequate level of floor stocks required for Nuclear Medicineservices.

To upkeep the cleanliness and tidiness of the Computed Tomography (CT) Room, Positron-Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET/CT) Room, Reporting Room and Operator Stations.

To explain and educate the patients on PET/CT processeswhere necessary.

Toassist inmanagingthe appointments forPET/CT andCT Simulation (CT Sim).

To assist in preparing daily statistics of PET/CT and CT Sim.

To assist Radiation Therapist (RTT) in CT Simulation.

To ensure there is adequate level of floor stocks required for Radiotherapy (RT)services.

Toassist Radiology inperformingdiagnostic scanningwhere necessary.

Requirements:

Diploma in Imaging, or BSc. in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy,and above.

Completed 21-days Clinical Attachment in Nuclear Medicine (KKM).

Preferably at least 2 yearsof experience in related field.

Good proficiency in written and spoken English.

Polite, reliable, conscientious, hardworking and communicate well.

Cooperative and works well as a team.
