Job Description

The Position

The Protective Intelligence function as part of Organon Security and Resilience (OSR) organization supports corporate security programs in collaboration with the OSR CoEs and Regional teams. The function is responsible for the Organon Security & Resilience Center with 24/7 coverage.

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director - Protective Intelligence. This role will lead a team of analysts who service the companys 24/7 crisis management contact point, triaging to the appropriate Security & Resilience leaders to provide business critical support during incidents.

This role will support the Insider Risk program, Executive Protection program, Strategic Intelligence program, Travel Risk Management program, Product Integrity program, Crisis management program. It will also support all-hazard threat intelligence monitoring (such as natural disasters, security incidents, geopolitical situations) and collection in order to proactively inform on and mitigate risks that could impact business operations, facilities and personnel.

This role will report into the Director of Protective Intelligence who leads the global Protective Intelligence program and manages a 24/7 capability to monitor, report and elevate critical events.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide: As an expert lead the team of intelligence analysts who provide 24/7 monitoring, collection and assessment of events through the systematic collection, collation, evaluation, interpretation and analysis of intelligence feeds and open-source channels, assess potential impact and report to stakeholders in a timely manner. Drive best practices and provide guidance to the team. Step in to cover for the Director of Protective Intelligence in case of travel / absence.
  • Set the standards: Responsible to review and ensure quality of protective intelligence reporting and adherence to standards under the guidance of the Director of Protective Intelligence. Ensure delivery of reporting meets stakeholder expectations of quality, content, and timeliness.
  • Author strategic security forecasts dedicated to keeping senior management apprised of continuously changing threat landscape.
  • Provide country specific assessments that enable the corporate Executive Protection Program as well as assist with multilanguage review of user accounts in support of Insider Risk programs and investigations.
  • Participate and provide support to Organon Country IMT meetings.
  • Build trusted partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Cultivate a collaborative environment which incorporates feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Operationalize the Global Travel Risk Management program which includes the monitoring and administration of travel security operations, including tracking, assisting, and advising international travelers on security issues across the world.
  • Provide open-source threat intelligence trainings to analysts.
  • Responsible to enter and analyze data in the Security & Resilience case management system.
  • Serve as direct manager for the Analysts.
  • Ensure 24/7 coverage of the Security & Resilience Center which includes weekend and holiday working.
  • Support Incident management teams located in Asia-Pacific; and others as warranted.
  • Support the Security & Resilience Director in Asia-Pacific for tailored projects.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in in Security Studies, Political Science, International Relations or related field.
  • 5 years relevant experience with protective intelligence in either public or private sector with at least two years within the pharmaceutical industry or related field.
  • Deep expertise on geopolitical issues.
  • Expertise in multi-source intelligence collection, assessment and dissemination.
  • Knowledge of the intelligence cycle, including analytic methodologies and techniques.
  • Project management skills; Ability to perform multiple projects and support multiple people simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Critical thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude; Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, then assess and evaluate effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, especially in preparing clear and concise summaries of critical events in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing large amounts of information from multiple sources into concise, analytic assessments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams.
  • Experience with diverse cultures and backgrounds, especially in support of global business operations is an advantage.
  • Advanced degree and / or relevant certifications is a plus
