Job summary

A leading energy company in Klang City is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage project budgeting and cost estimation. You will prepare Bills of Quantities and manage procurement activities, ensuring all terms and regulations are met. Ideal candidates will have a background in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, with knowledge of solar photovoltaic projects being a plus. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for engaging with various stakeholders in the project lifecycle.

Job description

FOUNDER ENERGY SDN BHD – Bukit Raja, Selangor

Monitor and track project budgeting and expenditure.

Prepare project costing, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and final accounts for clients and subcontractors.

Manage procurement: raise MR (Material Requisition), PO (Purchase Order), LOA (Letter of Award), negotiate with vendors, and maintain the vendor database.

Prepare pre- and post-price comparisons for HOD/management approval.

Coordinate monthly claims and payment verification with clients and subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Strong knowledge and experience in contract administration, cost estimation, and project cost control.

Proficiency in quantity surveying, including preparing and evaluating Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for evaluating claims, invoices, and variations.

Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to engage with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Educational qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field; professional certifications are advantageous.

Prior experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) projects or engineering project management is a plus.
