Job summary

A construction firm in Selangor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee QS operations, manage project tenders, and ensure cost control. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for QS operation of projects.
  • Involved in Pre and Post tenders.
  • Responsible for tender process including sourcing for subcontractors and supplies.
  • Prepare monthly progress claims for clients.
  • Prepare monthly certificates for sub-contractors.
  • Site measurements for work done on sites.
  • Estimation and calculation material for projects.
  • Quantity taking off and ensure quantity control in projects.
  • Attending meetings and coordinating effectively with Clients, Consultants, Construction Team and Subcontractors.
  • Perform estimation, claims cost control, and material scheduling.
  • Assist to resolve any contractual disputes arising on projects.

Skills

Job description
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Responsible for QS operation of projects.

Involved in Pre and Post tenders.

Responsible for tender process including sourcing for subcontractors and supplies.

Prepare monthly progress claims for clients.

Prepare monthly certificates for sub-contractors.

Site measurements for work done on sites.

Estimation and calculation material for projects.

Quantity taking off and ensure quantity control in projects.

Attending meetings and coordinating effectively with Clients, Consultants, Construction Team and Subcontractors.

Perform estimation, claims cost control, and material scheduling.

To assist and liaise with the Project Manager and Project director to resolve any contractual disputes arising on projects.

To assist in any other task as and when required by The Management.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Quantity Survey, Building or Construction Management or Equivalent.

At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project will be an added advantage.

Motivated with a good working attitude.

To work independently with integrity and commitment to assigned duties.

Strong knowledge of Pre and Post contract works cost control budget and contractual issues.

Preferable specializing in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
