Job summary

A leading glass manufacturing company located in Johor Bahru is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure finished goods meet required standards. Responsibilities include inspecting products, providing feedback on defects, coordinating with managers, and preparing quality reports. The ideal candidate should have an SPM/SPVM or Technical Certificate and preferably experience in a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to work independently in a production environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum SPM/SPVM or Technical Certificate qualification.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of quality inspection and production processes.
  • Able to read and follow quality standards and specifications.
  • Able to prepare simple reports and maintain documentation accurately.
  • Able to work independently and also with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with Production, QC, and Shift Managers.
  • Able to work in production floor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet required standards.

  • Reject defective bottles to ensure product quality.
  • Coordinate to confirm product quality and acceptability.
  • Issue memos for any quality issues.
  • Prepare hourly quality reports and conduct sampling.
  • Report major defects to the Quality Control Supervisor.
  • Consult on standard packing procedures and production records.
  • Ensure proper use of testing gauges and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of finished goods throughout production.
  • Promote a safe working environment.

Job description

Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.

Provide feedback to the Production and Finished Products Departments on any defects detected.

Reject defective bottles at the lehr and ensure only acceptable products proceed.

Coordinate with superiors and Shift Managers to confirm product quality and acceptability.

Issue Yellow or Red memos to relevant departments for any quality issues.

Prepare hourly quality reports and conduct lehr-end sampling.

Report major or critical defects to the Quality Control Supervisor promptly.

Consult the Quality Control Foreman on standard packing procedures, production records, and quality requirements.

Ensure proper and accurate use of testing gauges and equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of finished goods throughout production.

Promote and maintain a safe working environment while complying with all rules and regulations.
