Quality Inspector (Manufacturing/Electronic)
The Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that all materials and components meet the established quality standards. The objective of this position is to perform thorough inspections, maintain accurate records, and effectively communicate with suppliers to uphold quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform Incoming Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
- Update SAP System: Accurately update and post inspection results in the SAP system following each inspection.
- Maintain Inspection Records: Keep detailed records of inspections and supplier reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Manage Non‑Conforming Materials: Update and post Non‑Conforming Material Report (NPR) data in the system; communicate NPR findings to suppliers.
- Monitor Material Movement: Administer and track the movement of non‑conforming materials with suppliers to ensure resolution and compliance.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with production teams to identify quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Conduct Random Inspections: Perform random checks on production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), or related fields.
- At least 2‑3 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment; candidates with more experience may be considered for senior roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SAP transactions is advantageous.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Understanding of quality standards, requirements, and measuring tools.
