Job description

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer will bridge quality assurance and production efficiency, focusing on maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while enhancing throughput and reducing cost-of-quality.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and control plans. This involves creating documentation like control plans, control cards, and visual aids. Including maintaining the QMS requirements for Malaysia and leading both internal and external auditing.
• Conduct routine checks, inspections, and tests on materials, products, and production processes to identify defects or deviations from standards.
• Investigate production and product issues to determine the root cause of defects and develop corrective actions.
• Analyse data from various sources, including production data, quality reports, and customer feedback, to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve the production quality process, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency while maintaining quality standards together with Production Engineering.

Required Experience

• Proven background in a Quality position
• Experience gained within a similar industry would be an advantage, including managing warranty and repairs processes.
• Demonstration of the ability to drive a quality culture through engaging teams.
• Experience of developing and improving processes, procedures, and their deployment and drive process improvements
• Experience of Continuous Improvement Tools & Techniques including, RCCA (8D/5Y), Lean, Gemba Walk Process, Kaizen etc.
