Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Shah Alam is looking for a Quality Inspector. The role involves handling basic inspection equipment, performing various tests, and generating accurate inspection reports. Candidates need a minimum of 2 years experience in a Quality Inspection function or 5 years in a related manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, visualization of inspection techniques, and ability to read technical drawings are essential. Responsibilities

  • Perform thread-roll inspections and other tests.
  • Conduct conductivity and hardness testing.
  • Issue non-conformance reports as needed.
  • Conduct inspections after special processes.
  • Train QAP candidates for Special Process.
  • Maintain all inspection gages and calibration.
  • Report job transactions accurately in ERP.

Job description

Key Requirements:

  • Able to handle basic inspection equipment and tools.
  • Able to visualise inspection techniques.
  • Able to read and understand drawing and data specification.
  • PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office package software.
  • Basic knowledge on GD&T.
  • At least 2 years working in a Quality Inspection function or 5 years in a relevant manufacturing environment.
  • Able to handle basic inspection equipment and tools.

  • To perform thread-roll inspection, etch rate and other instructed tests based on the established procedure.
  • To perform conductivity and hardness testing.
  • To issue non-conformance reports when needed in accordance with internal established procedures.
  • To conduct FA/Delta FA/Rework parts inspection after Special Process and Part Marking.
  • To train QAP candidates for Special Process and Final QC when assigned by the Quality Engineer.
  • To perform all QAP task for Special Process and Final QC when required.
  • To ensure all inspection gages are well maintained and within calibration.
  • To perform monthly stock counts for test pieces and chemicals in laboratory.
  • To report job transactions accurately in ERP.
  • To be well versed with required ERP transactions.
  • To generate inspection report appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • To ensure all relevant documents are complete and verified during inspection activity.
  • To ensure all IMTE equipment are in good condition and calibrated at all time.
