Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kuantan, Pahang is seeking a candidate with a minimum Certificate or Diploma in Polymer or Chemical Engineering. The role involves carrying out inspections of products and in-process samples, ensuring testing equipment is calibrated, and maintaining workplace safety. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Qualifications

• Minimum 0 - 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Chemical/Petrochemical Plant laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products and in-process plant samples according to standard test procedures.
• Ensure inspection testing equipment is functional and calibrated.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and safety according to 5S and CBO standards.

Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Polymer, Chemical Engineering, Science & Technology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or equivalent.

Working Experience

Possess 0 - 2 years of working experience in manufacturing environment. Those who have working experience in Chemical/Petrochemical Plant laboratory is highly preferred.

Fresh Graduates with relevant academic background are welcomed to apply.

Competency / Skills

• Preferably candidate with experience in lab/QA/QC particularly in Chemical Industry and possess chemical handling knowledge.
• Detail-oriented / meticulous, fast learner and high commitment towards work.
• Preferable with knowledge in using Microsoft Word/Excel and able to conduct calculation.
• Able to communicate, read and write in English.
• Willing to work on shift / long hours when required.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able and willing to assume additional responsibilities and ready to learn and apply new knowledge.

General Duties

• Carry out the inspection of products according to standard test procedures.
• Carry out the inspection of in-process plant samples according to standard test procedures.

Specific Duties

• They shall ensure the inspection testing equipment always in good working condition by CBO and Calibrated.
• In charge as PIC for designated QC equipment and ensure Calibration, YMS and Preventive maintenance had been carried out as per schedule.
• Ensures the workplace is keep clean safe and orderly (5S & CBO Implementation).
• All they shall also do shift work on a regular basis as determined by the Monthly Work Schedule or when the need arises.
• They shall follow strictly all QC regulation & safety rules/requirement all the time.
• And other responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.
