Quality Control Technician (R0084023)

Are you an experienced quality control technician who is passionate to learn and develop within the role in a high‑tech company with origins from Sweden? If the answer is yes, keep reading as this may be just the right position for you.

We are looking for a proactive Quality Control Technician to join our newly established heavy machinery assembly facility in Seremban – Sendayan Techvalley, supporting underground load and haul equipment.

About The Division

The Load & Haul Division is the home of Sandvik loaders and trucks for underground mining business. We are market leaders in accelerating diesel and battery‑electric equipment development, with sharpened priorities. We work in close cooperation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining Business Area to provide the best possible service for our customers. The division is head‑quartered in Turku, Finland, with operations in Camarillo, USA; Changzhou, China; Khomanani, South Africa; and Seremban, Malaysia.

Do we share the same goals?

In this position you are primarily responsible to perform necessary quality inspection, e.g., incoming inspection, final assembly process & conduct product audit. You will assist the quality manager in daily quality activity.

  • Conduct incoming inspections in accordance with product specifications.
  • Perform final and necessary inspections prior to machine delivery.
  • Prepare team members for product audits and execute based on sampling plans.
  • Investigate customer complaints & collaborate with production to identify root causes.
  • Document inspection and test results; maintain detailed logs and reports.
  • Manage supplier reclamation processes and coordinate corrective actions with SQE.
  • Oversee calibration management tasks, including PR/PO creation and vendor arrangements.
  • Quarantine defective or non‑conforming parts to prevent misuse or mix‑ups.
  • Update Quality Management documents, procedures, and work instructions as needed.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Adhere to quality requirements and EHS guidelines.
  • Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered.
  • Battery technology background considered an advantage.
Your Profile – What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a quality technician within heavy machinery assembly or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong English proficiency is essential.
  • Experience and skill in using measurement tools such as pressure gauges, dial gauges, 3D scanners, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Background in quality or engineering functions, ideally with knowledge of automotive products or heavy machinery manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in conducting internal audits, including product audits and ISO 9001 Quality Management System audits.
  • Quality management knowledge including containment actions and 8D analysis.
  • Familiarity with basic quality tools: SPC, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA.
