Responsibilities
- Lead all QC testing activities for incoming materials, in-process checks, finished goods, and sensory evaluations.
- Ensure full adherence to GLP, calibration schedules, and accuracy of analytical results.
- Standardize analytical methods, test procedures, and reporting practices in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Act as the subject matter expert for analytical methods, ensuring integrity of results for product release decisions.
- Oversee timely and accurate inspection/testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Make informed product disposition decisions (release/on-hold/rejection) based on analytical results and risk assessments.
- Support NPD projects, shelf-life studies, and special batch trials through robust analytical evaluation.
- Review and validate supplier COAs and quality documentation for compliance; lead investigations of supplier non-conformance.
- Maintain complete and compliant laboratory documentation, SOPs, and test records in accordance with FSSC 22000, ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards.
- Track, analyze, and report laboratory KPIs and non-conformances to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, and develop lab technicians to strengthen technical competency and analytical capability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Food Engineering.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in food manufacturing, preferably in laboratory or analytical quality operations.
- Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP, GLP, ISO, and HACCP standards.
- Proven capability in analytical method validation, process control, and quality assurance systems.
- Hands‑on understanding of thermal process validation, sterilization, and process parameter monitoring.
- Ability to analyze complex quality issues and make sound risk‑based decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical investigations and driving effective resolutions.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills; able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and build collaboration.
- Experience in coaching and developing lab technicians to enhance technical capability and performance.
