Job description

YPS TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team in Penang. In this full‑time position, you will be responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems comply with established quality standards, including ISO requirements. The role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting audits, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to maintain product quality and continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and processes in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Review and monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, quality manuals, and inspection reports.
• Investigate product or process non‑conformances and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Train staff on quality requirements and ISO compliance.
• Support management during external audits or certification processes.
• Track and report quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial) or Quality Management.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, ideally with a background in sheet metal fabrication, electronics manufacturing (EMS), or semiconductor assembly.
• Proven experience in ISO 9001:2015 setup, implementation, audits, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on setting up quality management systems.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Control Charts.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
