A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee laboratory operations and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate should have at least a diploma in Food Technology and possess strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ensures compliance to all labour laws related.
Adhere to safe workplace and environment in the department.
Accountable for laboratory service and operation to ensure internal and external testing are conducted according to standard procedures.
Responsible to monitor and manage lab testing of incoming, in-proces, finished goods, environmental monitoring samples (where applicable) to ensure the results are delivered as per expected timeline.
Assist in COA issuance on timely manner.
Responsible in performing the testing parameter of product stability program as per scheduled.
Responsible in internal verification for all the lab equipment.
Assist in investigation on out of specification testing results to ensure accuracy of testing results.
Assist in implement of RCA in problem solving and cultivate preventive and improvement mindset.
Responsible in performing proficiency and competency lab testing as per scheduled.
Manage validation and verification program in laboratory to ensure the food safety and quality program are effective and implemented in accordance with the HACCP plan.
Maintain Good Laboratory Program (GLP).
Assist in execute departmental and quality KPIs.
Responsible for implementing relevant training plans to ensure continuous development and attainment of required competencies.
Assist in laboratory improvement program.
Encourages participates in the implementation of any continuous improvement / project / new product development / trial / audit related to individual production line.
Ensure the compliance of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Support in managing the expenses inclusive of Staff Cost, Consumable and Utility.
Carry out routine check and monitor on Assistant, QA leave and overtime to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Assist in conducting on-job training for new staff and refresher training.
Assist in managing the people related issue i.e. disciplinary issue, training, career progression, talent development and coaching.
Report to superior for any abnormality or non-compliance action/activity.
Experienced and possess good knowledge in lab operation.
Strong leadership skill, analytical and communication skill.
Familiar and hands-on with problem solving tools.
Multitasking and good time management, to ensure deliver as per expected timeline.
Quality and action orientated, conduct systematic root cause analysis, with good attention to details in document review and data analysis.
At least diploma holder in Food Technology, Food Science or related Science.
Has minimum 1 years working experience in QA/QC of food industry, lab services in relevant industry is added advantage.
Willing to travel.
Possess knowledge and experience in FSSC 22000 is added advantage.
