Job description

Quality Assurance Engineer (Male required)

As an Quality Assurance Engineer at NL Metals Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our manufacturing processes and products. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, this full-time position is based in Johor Bahru, Johor.

What you’ll be doing

To evaluate quality strategies and system to ensure conformity of parts to quality standards.

Conduct root cause investigations when quality issues do arise, communicate findings and train staff on improvements/preventative measures.

Establish manufacturing inspection test processes, which ensure component dimensions meet the requirements of the drawings.

Arrange test equipment for calibration and ensure calibration records are properly maintained and up-to-date.

Liaise with other relevant departments to resolve all quality related issues, including customer complaints, internal quality issues and incoming raw material issues.

Prepare samples, inspection reports and First Article reports as per customer requirements.

Ensure in‑process control systems are in place and carried out effectively.

Ensure effectiveness of ISO9001:2015 implementation.

Establish, maintain and ensure consistent implementation of quality, environment and safety management systems.

What we’re looking for

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

2‑3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of quality control principles, methods and tools.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and quality control documents.

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
