A leading aerospace components manufacturer in Shah Alam, Malaysia, seeks a Quality Management Engineer to oversee the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role includes managing audits, training staff, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of QMS experience or be a fresh graduate with a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related fields. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential for this position.
Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) across the company, including organizational accreditations.
Maintain and update all manuals, procedures, and work instructions to ensure they remain appropriate for the organization.
Coordinate the review of procedures and work instructions across various departments as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
Auditing & Compliance
Organize and manage internal audit systems, as well as external audits conducted by customers and accreditation bodies.
Manage the closure of non-conformance reports and Corrective Action Reports (CAR) from internal, surveillance, and external audits in a timely manner.
Perform gap analysis based on Customer Change Board (CCB) changes regarding QMS, EMS, and NADCAP requirements, then cascade that information to stakeholders.
Act as the point of contact for customers regarding quality system issues and follow up on necessary corrective actions.
Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and manage documentation for new suppliers.
Support investigations into customer complaints, internal rejections, and corrective actions.
Administrative & People Support
Train staff on all aspects of the quality system and the application of procedures.
Organize eye test activities for relevant staff in coordination with HR and optometrists.
Support Management Reviews for QMS and EMS through data collection and compilation.
Ensure high standards of record-keeping for all system and process-related data.
What to expect:
Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards (including: ISO 14001 / ISO 9001 / NADCAP), accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures.
Manage the audit program to ensure that all nonconformities raised against certification bodies during audits are effectively corrected and independently verified.
Maintain a clean working environment (free of oil, dust, and chemicals).
Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Company.

Experience and Personality Preference:
At least 1 years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
Fresh graduates with the right attitude.

Education:
Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Aerospace / Engineering or any science related field.
Working Relationship:
Internal: Department Managers and engineer / executive staff
External: Respective suppliers, customers, regulatory bodies and accreditation bodies.
