Job summary

A manufacturing company based in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with IATF and EMS requirements, maintain safety standards, and manage quality development of projects. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing, at least 2 years of experience in quality management, and familiarity with the automotive industry would be an advantage. The role also requires the flexibility to work shifts and contribute effectively to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in quality management.
• Willing to work on shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 & EMS ISO 14001:2004 requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment per OHSAS 18001 requirements.
• Expedite project quality development by minimizing defects.
• Meet all customer accuracy level requirements.
• Ensure parts fit and match customer requirements.
• Validate and monitor data accuracy for new parts.
• Record improvements in development activities with suppliers.
• Conduct trials for part development with suppliers.
• Attend trials and inspections for internal and vendor parts.

Skills

Quality management experience

Knowledge of IATF 16949

Experience in the automotive industry

Education

Minimum Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing

• To ensure all system and documents followed as per IATF 16949 & EMS ISO 14001: 2004 requirements.
• To ensure safe working environment are adhered to OHSAS 18001 requirements.
• To expedite each projects quality development by minimizing parts defects.
• To achieve all customer’s requirement set accuracy level.
• To ensure parts condition with good matching and fitting at customers.
• To validate data accuracy checking, monitoring and analysis for new development parts.
• To monitor and record improvement activities for new development parts at suppliers.
• To carry out trial for parts development involving supplier’s parts.
• To attend trials and inspection data for internal and outsource (Vendor).
