Job description

The QC Inspector is responsible for executing quality checks on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in identifying and preventing quality issues on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections at various stages of production (IQC, IPQC, OQC) based on control plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) as required.
  • Record inspection results and non-conformance findings in designated quality documents and systems.
  • Report defects or deviations promptly to supervisors and assist in initiating corrective actions.
  • Verify proper handling, labeling, and segregation of conforming and non-conforming products.
  • Ensure calibration status and proper care of inspection equipment.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Maintain good 5S and safety practices within the inspection area.
Qualifications

Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or equivalent technical field.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal or precision components.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Familiar with basic QC tools (check sheets, sampling plans, visual standards).

Experience in using standard inspection tools; CMM knowledge is an advantage.

Attention to detail, disciplined, and able to work independently or in a team.
