Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to monitor daily production and quality performance. Responsibilities include performing inspections, preparing QC documents, and assisting in product innovation and formulation optimization. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and possess 3-4 years of relevant experience. Effective communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years in Food Quality and Manufacturing, knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Halal.
  • Experience in sauce & paste line is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Control and monitor daily production and quality performance.
  • Prepare and compile QC and related documents.
  • Perform quality inspection based on inspection plan.

Job description

To control and monitor daily production and quality performance in order to meet the quality standard and customer’s requirement.

Involved in daily production QC planning and job assignment to each work station accordingly.

To prepare and compile QC and related documents to ensure records to be properly documented.

To perform quality inspection based on inspection plan/criteria and ensure incoming material and final products meet specification.

Assist in the development and implementation of quality control systems and processes.

  • Product Innovation and Development:
    • Develop new products that align with market trends and meet the needs of the company’s target market.
    • Actively conduct ingredient testing & improve processing methods to enhance product quality & taste.
  • Product Improvement/Formulation Optimization:
    • Evaluate product quality, stability & safety.
    • Review the existing product formulations and identify areas for improvement and changes to enhance product performance, stability and shelf life.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Biotechnology or related field.
  • Preferably 3-4 years in Food Quality and Manufacturing; knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Halal, relevant experience in sauce & paste line is added advantage.
  • Good communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of people.
  • Ability to work independently & able to meet deadline in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required language(s): English & Bahasa Malaysia.
