A leading electronics manufacturing company in Kedah is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the QA team and ensure compliance with quality standards. The role involves driving continuous improvement, managing inspections, and maintaining QA documentation. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of QA/QC experience within the electronics sector. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of QA systems are essential for this role.
Lead the QA team to ensure all incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections comply with quality standards.
Ensure production processes follow customer requirements, IPC standards, ISO 9001, IATF16949 and other relevant certifications.
Oversee IQA, IPQA, FQA & OQA quality activities.
Drive continuous improvement in quality performance across SMT, PCBA, and box-build operations.
Ensure corrective actions (CAR/PAR) are implemented and verified for effectiveness.
Establish and maintain QA procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
Ensure proper handling of non-conforming materials/products (NCMR process).
Compile weekly quality KPIs report (Incoming LAR, MRB, FQA SMT & Assembly, SI & Customer complaint).
Supervise QA inspectors, technicians, and line quality support personnel.
Provide training on quality standards (IPC-A-610, ESD control, workmanship standards, customer requirements).
Maintain accurate QA documentation: inspection records, test reports, deviation approvals, quality alerts.
Ensure proper calibration of measurement and test equipment.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Supplier Quality to maintain high-quality standards.
Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Manufacturing) or related field.
IPC-A-610 Certified Specialist/Trainer (advantage).
Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (advantage), or other QA systems.
Minimum 3–5 years experience in QA/QC within EMS, SMT, PCBA, semiconductor, or electronics production.
At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong practical knowledge of SMT processes, PCBA inspection, and electronics assembly workmanship.
Good understanding of QA tools: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
Familiar with quality KPIs: FPY, DPPM, COPQ, Cp/Cpk.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced EMS environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
High integrity and ownership of quality performance.
